雷光春，1960年出生于湖南津市，現任北京林業(yè)大學自然保護區(qū)學院院長、教授；
主要教育經歷：
1997年畢業(yè)于芬蘭赫爾辛基大學生態(tài)學專業(yè)，獲理學博士學位，
1985年畢業(yè)于中南林學院森林保護專業(yè)，獲農學碩士學位，
1982年畢業(yè)于中南林學院特用經濟林專業(yè)，獲農學學士學位；
主要工作經歷：
2008-至今，北京林業(yè)大學自然保護區(qū)學院院長、教授、博導；
2003-2007，《濕地公約》秘書處亞太事務高級顧問；
1997-2003，北京大學教授、博導；期間兼任世界自然基金會中國長江項目主任、中國淡水與海洋項目主任
1988-1997，湖南省林業(yè)廳森林資源管理保護局自然保護科副科長，高級工程師、總工程師；
1985-1988，中南林學院講師、系教學秘書等。

開展科研項目情況：
近年來共主持/承擔國家部委等科研項目30余項，其中在研縱向項目包括國家自然科學基金項目“洞庭湖小白額雁越冬種群棲息地選擇策略”、科技基礎性專項課題“溫帶干干旱半干旱區(qū)濕地資源及其主要生態(tài)環(huán)境效益綜合調查”、973項目專題“江湖關系改變對珍稀候鳥棲息地生境的影響”，順利完成國家重點基礎研究發(fā)展計劃（973）“重點區(qū)域濕地生態(tài)系統(tǒng)服務功能綜合評估”及林業(yè)公益性行業(yè)科研專項“典型濕地在全球氣候變化中作用的評估技術研究”項目的結題驗收工作。參與編寫了多個政府咨詢報告，如《國家流域綜合管理戰(zhàn)略》、《國家生態(tài)系統(tǒng)管理戰(zhàn)略》、《國家生物碳匯戰(zhàn)略》濕地部分，向國家林業(yè)局提交了鄱陽湖水利樞紐對濕地候鳥的影響研究報告，向湖南省政府提交了洞庭湖城陵磯水利樞紐對濕地候鳥影響研究的咨詢報告，為國家發(fā)展和建設提供了有效的科學支撐。此外，還承擔了國家林業(yè)局、省級單位、各自然保護區(qū)多項科研、調查工作，研究范圍涉及氣候變化、候鳥遷徙、濕地監(jiān)測與管理、宣傳教育、保護區(qū)信息管理系統(tǒng)平臺設計等多個方面，均取得了顯著成效。
先后在國內外公開發(fā)表學術論文60余篇（其中SCI論文30余篇）、主編、參編專著8部；曾獲北京市教學成果二等獎（2012）、湖南省科技進步獎二等獎、三等獎各一項（1990、1993）、林業(yè)部科技進步獎一項（1991）。
