主要從事基于功能型生物納米材料的固體廢物處理和有毒有害污染物控制的新原理、新方法和新技術(shù)研究,在環(huán)境污染物實(shí)時(shí)監(jiān)控及吸附、降解研究等領(lǐng)域取得了許多國(guó)內(nèi)外先進(jìn)水平的創(chuàng)新性成果。 

研究領(lǐng)域: 
(1)固體廢物處理與資源化;
(2)基于功能型生物納米材料的環(huán)境污染控制技術(shù);
(3)環(huán)境生物診斷和傳感;
(4)重金屬污染控制
已主持國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目2項(xiàng)(優(yōu)秀青年基金項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng),青年科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)),教育部新世紀(jì)優(yōu)秀人才計(jì)劃1項(xiàng),湖南省研究生科研創(chuàng)新基金項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)等課題,作為主要參與人參與了國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)、教育部創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊(duì)項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)和多項(xiàng)國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金、“863”計(jì)劃等科研項(xiàng)目研究。 

研究成果:
獲2009年度國(guó)家技術(shù)發(fā)明二等獎(jiǎng)、2008年度湖南省科技進(jìn)步一等獎(jiǎng)(發(fā)明獎(jiǎng)?lì)悾?007年度湖南省科技進(jìn)步一等獎(jiǎng);全國(guó)百篇優(yōu)秀博士學(xué)位論文提名論文、湖南省優(yōu)秀博士學(xué)位論文。先后在環(huán)境學(xué)科國(guó)際權(quán)威刊物Environmental Science & Technology (SCI IF=5.228)、Biosensors and Bioelectronics (SCI IF=5.602)、Langmuir (SCI IF=4.268)、Bioresource Technology (SCI IF=4.98)、Analytica Chimica Acta (SCI IF=4.555)、Analyst(SCI IF=4.23)等國(guó)際國(guó)內(nèi)公開出版刊物發(fā)表科研論文70余篇,其中SCI收錄47篇,被引用次數(shù)410次,EI收錄45篇,ISTP收錄4篇;申請(qǐng)國(guó)家發(fā)明專利28項(xiàng),已獲授權(quán)國(guó)家發(fā)明專利15項(xiàng);參與編寫著作2部;6次受邀參加國(guó)際會(huì)議,并作大會(huì)報(bào)告2次;獲國(guó)際環(huán)境計(jì)量學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)頒發(fā)的TIES 2005大會(huì)最佳報(bào)告,F(xiàn)為國(guó)際環(huán)境毒理學(xué)與環(huán)境化學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)員、國(guó)際環(huán)境計(jì)量學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)員、SCI刊物“Biosensors and Bioelectronics”、國(guó)內(nèi)刊物“環(huán)境科學(xué)”等期刊的審稿人。
