Conference background：

Along with rapid increase in wastewater treatment capacity in China, the sludge production is considerably increased. The municipal wastewater treatment capacity in China was 60 milliards m³, and the production of wet sludge with moisture content of 80% reached 4  millions tons in 2015. The investigation result shows that 80% of the sludge produced from WWTPs in China is not properly treated and disposed, which causes serious pollution and attracts considerable attention. In the 13^th five-year plan, the sludge treatment and disposal will become one of the key fields.
